Another illustration class about how drawing less can open up more room for creative expression and experimentation is planned for this fall at the Elmhurst Art Museum.

"Outside" limited editions
Every spring and early summer, it's fun to see pollen floating and twirling around everywhere. Sometimes they also cause some trouble when working outside though.
A limited edition run of 30 (signed and numbered) of Arjan's first yonkoma is now available as 18x24 in print. One will also be on display at Engine Coffee very soon, in case you're in Chicago. ​​

Unplugged
Arjan is rethinking how he uses internet and social media, so he unplugged for some time, read a lot, and fell into some rabbit holes. It's a lot, but the effort feels necessary and energizing to him too.

Arjan teaches art at EAM
For the Elmhurst Art Museum, Arjan developed the course "Draw Less, Create More: Illustrating the McCormick House". The course takes place in January and February of 2025.
Fires in LA
A VW van surviving the fires in January 2025 was a sign of hope for many in LA. Arjan created this illustration to support the CCF Wildfire Recovery Fund.

For the lobby of the Consulate General of the Netherlands, Arjan created four illustrations inspired by architecture in the Netherlands and Chicago.
