OU Bizzell Memorial Library with expansion, clocktower, and sunset colors

Bizzell Memorial Library

Artwork for the University of Oklahoma Libraries.

Inspired by the colors of the library buildings, the official colors of the University of Oklahoma, and sunsets in Oklahoma, the artwork shows the Bizzell Memorial Library. The oldest part of the library was designed by Layton, Hicks & Forsyth and built in 1928. It is a national historic landmark in Norman, Oklahoma. OU Libraries asked me to create an artwork of this beautiful, Cherokee Gothic style building, and to include the newer addition and clocktower (by Coston, Frankfort, and Short in 1958).
